Your goods must be correctly packed if they are to arrive undamaged. An important point to bear in mind is that insurance policies often do not cover self-packed possessions that are damaged in transit.

There are three main packing options available:

• Professional  Service – full export-packing of your goods by our own highly-trained and experienced packers
• Part-packing Service – we export-pack your valuables and breakables such as china, glassware and paintings
• Self-pack Service – we provide you with the materials to pack your goods yourself

If you choose one of the first two options we will pack your goods inside your own home. This is so that you can see the care and attention taken by the crew.

When the packing is complete a full inventory will be taken which numbers the items, states their condition and acts as a receipt for the shipment.

There is one often overlooked benefit that arises from leaving the packing to the experts, apart from minimising the risks. Heightened security at customs points around the world means that owner-packed goods are now routinely checked, which can cause delays and potential damage.
